I rarely find palettes that are multi-purpose. So when I saw that this one was designed to be used for face, body, and contouring...I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! Thanks to my friends over at Undone Beauty, I was able to see what this palette is all about.
I salute Undone Beauty because this makeup product is "cruelty-free" and "vegan." Cruelty-free means that they were able to manufacture this product without testing or experimenting on our furry friends (animals). Vegan means that this is a plant-based product, so they don't use any animal by-products or animal derivatives in the ingredients. This palette is also unscented for those of us who cannot stand heavily-fragranced beauty products.
I'm very excited to show you the swatches and share with you my experience in using this product, so let's get started with that!
Let's start with the color-payoff...
From the first swatch, I immediately noticed that I was getting a very intense color payoff. I literally swiped my finger through each color once and noticed this when I made the swatch across my arm. The swatches are in order from top to bottom of the palette. The 1st swatch on the left is the same color at the top of the palette. It definitely is a cool-toned, silvery-looking hue. The 2nd swatch is a rose-gold color. It is my favorite color in the entire palette! Next, the 3rd swatch is a true 24 karat gold tone and also another one of my favorite colors to see on deep skin tones. Lastly, the 4th swatch has a cool-tone purple hue of color. It would look beautiful on just about any skin tone, in my opinion. All of these colors are metallic highlighters! You will definitely glow in all the right places when using any of these beautiful colors.
It has a soft, buttery consistency. When you apply it, it glides effortlessly over your skin and blends very well. I'm thinking that this has something to do with the Coconut Extract that provides hydration for a dewy finish. You can either apply this with a makeup brush or with your fingers. I tend to apply highlighter over my cheeks using my fingers. I noticed that the color payoff on my cheekbone area was stronger when I applied it with my finger. If you want a blinding glow, apply with your fingers. :) I also tested the application with a highlighter brush on the other cheekbone and it provided more of a soft, angelic glow. Depending on the look you're going for, a brush or use of your finger may be more applicable. Either way, the coverage is buildable and you can give yourself a soft glow or an intense strobe of color.
